But what Issa did was shove it up Cumming’s keester by having it published in the Congressional record the other night. The Democrats were so involved in their obfuscation tactics that they lost sight of the ball. Now that letter is part of the public record and it really makes Cummings look bad because he claimed, as Holder did, that there was nothing of importance in this letter.

I see the move by Issa at this time to be incredibly deft as it comes as everyone is leaving town and it also is giving enough time for what will be a wave of whistle blowers out to save their butts coming forth before Congress is back in session.

This one act will accelerate public dissemination as other leakers will start to talk to certain members of the press as well. Someone like Major Garrett will be on the cusp of a Pulitzer. I believe this scandal’s “Deep Throat” has already been in contact with Issa’s investigator.

Can the hammer be put on Cummings? Hold him in contempt or something like that that might make him decide to come clean?

Tactical.....he doesn't have all of the info but he might be the one to get to some more whistleblowers.
