New Poll: Voters Dislike Supreme Court's Obamacare Ruling
The Daily Beast ^ | Nick Summers

By a 50–45 margin, voters disapprove of the court’s decision, a Newsweek/Daily Beast poll finds.

Voters are reacting in broadly negative ways to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the legislation known as Obamacare, a new Newsweek/Daily Beast poll finds, with a majority disapproving of the ruling, fearing health-care costs and taxes will rise, and preferring Mitt Romney to President Obama on the issue.

If I'm trucking down the sidewalk and 45% of the people I pass want to kill me. I'm not encouraged.

“The poll was conducted by Douglas Schoen, a Democratic pollster who has worked for the campaigns of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg, and other candidates. A national random sample of 600 likely voters was interviewed June 28, immediately following the announcement of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Affordable Care Act. The margin of error was plus or minus 4 percent.”

Does it matter these days as to how the voters feel?

Does government really care?

I have to believe it’s a greater majority against the bill. Meanwhile, I’m very frustrated with conservatives who mention only the bad financial effects of this abominable bill. PLEASE ALSO EMPHASIZE THAT ONCE FULLY IN PLACE IN 2014 — CONVENIENTLY AFTER THE ELECTION — THE ACTUAL HEALTH CARE ITSELF, IN TREATMENT, ACCESS, ETC., WILL BE WORSE THAN EVER, WITH RATIONING, MONTHS-ON-END WAITS, DENIAL OF CARE, ETC.!! PLEASE!!

I remember when the Democrats rammed the ACA through Congress on a party line vote it received a much celebrated, but very short-lived, bump in the polls. It looks as though all the gloom about the decision yesterday making the decision more popular may be way off base.

Voters, by 67%, according to several polls at the time, didn’t like Obamacare when Congress was voting on it. But, as many here like to emphasize at every occasion, we are not a democracy, we are a Republic (as if there were any direct democracies ion the planet these days), meaning, as I understand it, our elected representatives are so much wiser than us, than the stupid 67%. Republic if you can keep it?

My, how unexpected! We didn’t like the law, it’s now closer to reality, and we don’t like the twisted decision that is permitting this terribly harmful law to be forced upon us. Who could have guessed?

I know. A Clinton pollster. Which means it was probably more than a little results oriented in the first place.

If sNoozweak says 50-45, it must be at least 70-30.

But unopposed by legally elected American lawmakers.

Their guilt in the destruction of this nation is even more despicable.

The real numbers are much higher.

Obamacare is despised by more than 2:1 ratio. Close to 3:1 in the south.
