FARMINGTON, Pa. (AP) -- U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts joked that he'll spend some time on an "impregnable island fortress" now that the court has ended a session that featured him casting the decisive vote to uphold President Barack Obama's health care law.

Misinformed public, is all I can say.
Er, what if Roberts voted to declare the whole thing unconstitutional like Kennedy et. al.?
Would we not be in a better position today?
Who is misinformed?
That makes two of us!
Oh how cute of Roberts.

Roberts is the darling of the lefties now. Just watch his beaming face as he listens to Obama’s State of the Union as his second term gets underway.
We wouldn't even be dealing with this socialized medicine nonsense if we had elected enough congressmen and senators to stop this bill in its tracks.
We do still have the opportunity to overturn this monstrosity this November by throwing Obama out of office, ensuring that we maintain conservative control of the House and send at least 51 like-minded senators to the Senate.
We should not rely upon the SCUS to do our dirty work for us. Time to roll up our sleeves and get the job done ourselves this November. (I'd like to think this might have been the message Roberts was trying to send.)
With Rinos and Constitutional reimaginers I figured we need at least a 6 to 3 edge, but it would probably be safer with a 7 to 2 majority.
Reading a CNN article on the same conversation, I got the impression that Roberts could careless about anyone’s rights, and that instead he simply issued this lawless and insanely convoluted edict so that he would APPEAR bipartisan.
Of course the fact that he then rushes off to a Mediterranean island resort only underscores his elite Washington apathy to our rights & constitution which he just stamped out with his jackboot.
I for one cannot help but admit to the hope that he never returns.
The silver lining you see is simply the border separating real conservatives from republicans.
We conservatives have been had. We lose credibility everytime we stand behind someone with our support declaring them to be conservative and they end up being a BIG government liberal and that loss is much bigger than if we had named him the RINO he really is but said we'd give him a chance.
You also seem to forget Robert's on Arizona a few days ago.
You still insist he is on our side?
We were worried about where Kennedy would stand and it was one of "our own" that gave it to Obama. Geez!
What happened??????????????????
“With Rinos and Constitutional reimaginers I figured we need at least a 6 to 3 edge, but it would probably be safer with a 7 to 2 majority.”
The corruption of power in Washington combined the a selection process & judgement that favor the same power makes it extremely unlikely that we could ever get or maintain a court respectful of anything but the self-indulgent powers of Washington D.C.
“We should not rely upon the SCUS to do our dirty work for us.”
OMG. That is probably one of the most retarded things I’ve seen posted. I don’t give a rat’s ass what was sent to SCOTUS. If it’s unconstitutional IT’S THEIR JOB to overturn it. And this was 100% unconstitutional.
Wouldn’t want to sully, the precious jurists by HAVING THEM DO THEIR JOBS now would we?
Freakin’ joke.

I agree but shame on us for letting it pass in the first place. Citizens have a duty to protect the Constitution as well and in that respect, we also failed in our duty.
In November, we shall have an opportunity to redeem ourselves.
He’ll go down as another sorry-ass justice.
I have no respect for the man. He has no clue of the law.
So does the SC and the elected Congress.
“I agree”
I don’t think you actually do. You are worried about SCOTUS being forced to actually do their jobs.
And the 48% that pay the taxes did vote. They were out numbered by the 52%. Roberts just told us that if you don’t have the numbers well screw you. Who cares what the constitution actually says.
Slavery is unconstitutional. By yours and Roberts logic, congress could implement slavery for blacks again and because they only make up 13% of the population it is conceivable they would never be able to get the numbers in congress to undo it because they are a minority.
SCOTUS is there to rule whether laws are constitutional or unconstitutional according to the constitution. Dirty work my a$$. They get paid with benefits pretty well to do this dirty work, otherwise known as. their jobs.
Agreed. But it starts with us. We are the ones that put them in those positions.
