Excellent question. Does Obama even have Constitutional powers to rescind taxes as waivers? Isn't that only limited to Congress if ObamaCare is deemed a tax?

They’ll continue to refer to it as a penalty.

And dare Congress to stop them.

If it’s a tax it must be collected as required by the Constitution and the law.

However neither get in the way of this administration so why would it stop them now?

We can run to the courts but we likely don’t have standing until the “tax” is collected. Plus I have lost all faith in our nations court system.

When ruled by a Dictator/King only HIS wishes count. The peasantry/proletariat can go to hell along with the laws they thought they rode in on.

It’s not a tax.

It’s a Bill of Attainder.

The same way tax dodging Democrats just say oops it was an accident or that darn tax software messed up and get away with it......The Media will only “expose” the Republicans or people they disagree with who fail to pay taxes.

I thought the waivers applied to the coverage amounts for employees, not the tax if an individual chooses not to carry insurance. Am I missing something?

Liberals have yet to realize that the mandate is out the window, and probably, the entire law as it never originated in the House. That said, there’s a zillion things left to litigate involving this monstrosity of a bill. Perhaps, though, we’ll be saved some of this by the House Republicans actually getting off their duffs and shutting down government until this tax bill is destroyed.

Tax or not, he never had waiver power anyway. I’d bet if Romney is elected and tries his “waivers to all 50 states” the dems will file suit.

Don’t worry, once those “taxes” are levied the lawsuits will be flying.

I am posting this on all threads that question the events that just happened:

Trust the Lord but work like the dickens to get the liberals out of power. Stop complaining because it does no good. Find solace that this is a Christian nation and He will work out the details. Trust in the Lord!

45% of the population already pay no income tax.

file that one under the “fairness” of the progressive tax code. (no waiver needed)

Simple. The administration is now saying its not a tax, it’s a penalty. Now that they have their law they can call it any damned thing they please. Capice?

It's NOT a tax, Sir 0bama told us so back in '10.

It's a mandate to donate or go to prison citation.

I wish you people would quit trying to nail Sr 0bama for being misleading when all he is is a lying sack of pig dung.

If the MANDATE in Obamacare only survives as a Tax, as ruled by the Supreme Court, how can anyone Waive Taxes with Obamacare Waivers ?

There have been no taxes levied as of yet.

Those subject to the tax should file a class action suit as denied equal protection under the law.

If Obama can refuse to enforce immigration laws, I think the next Republican president should lower the tax rate to 20 percent. He can just create his own form, say "send in your 20 percent" and then if you do, he won't prosecute you for not paying the amount set by existing law.

We have entered a truly lawless phase of history.
