Does the AG take any kind of oath on being sworn in? One would think so.And one would think that that oath would contain a promise to enforce the nation’s laws fairly, evenly and universally. And if US Attorneys also take an oath one would think a similar promise would be included in it.
And one would think that that oath would contain a promise to enforce the nations laws fairly,
One would think that of an honorable person - we are not dealing with honorable people. We are dealing with the scum of the earth, the whole administration of them. Where did they find all the rocks they crawled out of, I don’t know but they have not one shred of decency or honor among them - just greed and power.
I see the contempt charge is really forcing his hand.. good thing they spent the political capital on a useless resolution that will go nowhere until after Holder gets a pardon from Obama..
Eric Holder was appointed to to make sure the democrats and Obama could pollute the voting system just long enough to secure a second term which is when the mischief begins.
There are oaths of some sort sworn by all law enforcement officials that they will uphold the law and specifically oaths sworn by Federal Employees and officers of the military to defend and protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. It is part of the United States Code. As of today, I dont think it means anything anymore.
The oath is here:
Title 5 Part III Subpart B Chapter 33 Subchapter II § 3331
The oath taken by officers does not include any provision to obey orders; while enlisted personnel are bound by the Uniform Code of Military Justice to obey lawful orders, officers in the service of the United States are bound by this oath to disobey any order that violates the Constitution of the United States.
This is copied from the USC and provided by Cornell Law School for convenience.

Quoting from the USC:
An individual, except the President, elected or appointed to an office of honor or profit in the civil service or uniformed services, shall take the following oath:
I, ______, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
This section does not affect other oaths required by law.
