Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has raised $4.2 million since the Supreme Court ruled the healthcare reform legislation constitutional, his press secretary reported in a tweet on Friday morning.
Romney responded to the ruling by renewing his pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act known as "Obamacare."
He wrote in a fundraising email to supporters on Thursday: "Today, the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare. But regardless of what the Court said about the constitutionality of the law, Obamacare is bad medicine, it is bad policy, and when Im President, the bad news of Obamacare will be over."
The Supreme Court's ruling was a clear win for President Obama, who counts the healthcare bill as a signature achievement of his first term. But Romney and other Republicans made clear they would not give up the fight to repeal what they call a government takeover of healthcare.
Romney's campaign had raised $2.5 million by 1:33 p.m. Thursday.

I had HIGH HOPES that the SCOTUS was going to bring this thing down.
I still cannot believe what happened yesterday!
I sure as HECK do not believe Romney will do a damned thing about it.
Wouldn’t he need a super-majority in Congress to repeal it anyway? And even if he has that, he still won’t do a damned thing.
Maybeeeee, if anything, they’d revise and change a few things about it at the most.
Now is it $4.2 million plus $25.
I was never onboard with Romney, but I needed to send a message to the other side. The bigger warchest he gets in these couple of days, the better.
nope as its now a tax, only needs 51 senators not 60.
well, how will this “biggest tax ever” message get out?
The msm sure as HELLLL won’t use those words, no matter how true they are!
And the RNC still hasn’t figured out how to successfully use twitter and facebook.
People in Masschusetts wanted this garbage. Romney gave them exactly what they demanded.
Romney's position: Let the individual states determine their healthcare laws as they see fit, NOT the federal government.
i did not donate to Romney yesterday but i did donate to the Tea Party Express, Allen West and Adam Hasner, which i have been meaning to do for a while (and i’m not even in Fl)...yesterday was the kick in the ass for many of us...i just want my local Tea Party group to gear it up...
see my post #27....
I don’t care where anyone donates, just do it where you feel it would be best served. Any money used to remove that piece of trash and stop his agenda is a dollar worth spent.
Nope, nope, nope. I will not vote for either the Anit-Christ or Anti-Christ lite. Not happening. I have to give account before God and both are evil. I choose to take the Nineveh path and have a clear conscience. We have been given that choice. I’m not walking down the road of evil just because someone is slightly less. I can’t vote for the windsock... period. He’s nothing more than a prettied up, white Obama.
well don’t come crying and whinging if Obama gets his 4 more years because i don’t want to hear it. Its entirely your choice and i respect that but take the consequences.
I believe this is TOTAL BS.
So.... Are we to believe there was a bunch of people out there with money who go so incensed at this ruling, they in turn made a campaign contribution to a guy to enacted basically the same thing in their state? LOL
That mental picture is an enormous consolation.
Needs repeating!!
In Texas, Dewberry has refused to sign the "Repeal ObamaScare" pledge...my money's on Cruz!!
I am increasingly comfortable with the idea of Romney stomping Obama into the dust.
If he actually does it. Problem is there isn’t much evidence that Romney is a repentant liberal. All the Rinos and establishment, who have stabbed us in the back many times, gives him two thumbs up!?
My brain keeps going round and round.
Thinking happy thoughts doesn’t seem to be working for me.
“well dont come crying and whinging if Obama gets his 4 more years because i dont want to hear it. Its entirely your choice and i respect that but take the consequences.”
I won’t. I’ll be under the shadow of His wings. I know who I serve.
Which would you rather have: OBummer as POTUS and Pubs with both Senate and House, OR Romney as POTUS and Pubs have only the House?
I’m with you - I’ll take the former.
Obama lapdog’s email this morning.
Let’s win the damn election
It’s been a good day.
But this is a three-step process.
1. Pass historic health care reform. Check.
2. Get affirmation from the highest court in the country. Check.
Step three? Win the damn election.
Mitt Romney has been clear he’d repeal Obamacare on Day One. Just another reminder of how much is at stake in November.

if Obama gets his 4 more years
If Obama gets four more years or Romney is an Obama lite tool then I am going on Welfare as a stategic move.
I encourage everyone to join me.
They want BIG G’mint then give em BIG G’mint!
Not a "happy thought" per se, but wouldn't you at least derive a bit of satisfaction from delivering political payback to the White Hut Occupier?
Better some small consolation than none at all.
And who knows? It's certainly within the realm of possibility that Romney and Republicans will deliver more than that.
