Given Obama & the thuggery of the left and the unions, the thought crossed my mind that Roberts was threatened (e.g. death threat) or in some way coerced to “change his mind.”

I don’t know who was applying the pressure and don’t even know if it’s true ( Rush text)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Here is an article that explains Roberts being under the control of the Obama movement:

The logic that a penalty is a legitimate tax is treasonous logic. Roberts should be impeached for it. Thats a fact.War is being waged on The People by their own government.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg threatened to announce her retirement at the end of this term and give Obama the chance to appoint a new Justice in her place if Obama Care was overturned.

And you know this how?

Indeed, Roberts is a liberal fool.

Companies are going to take the “tax” fine route and hire overseas as a loophole, or go for one of those foreign worker or grants programs that do not fall into legitimate taxable work or unemployment payroll benefit system.

THis is an export tax, just like the income tax is an export tax, ALL ILLEGAL TAXES as per the FOUNDING PRINCIPLES of this nation.

We fought over the TEA TAX and other things on these very sensical premises of what is a fair and logical tax good for the nation.

But no, we got these FEMINISTS! in courts telling HUSBANDS and taxpayers that we have to pay a tax on the things we export, but we should go spend and pay at WalMArt CHina like there is no tomorrow, like I would spend on a whore outside the marriage instead of spending time with my wife.

That is the meaning of this.

It is not, because all these are FEMINISTS taxes on export. People doing nothing and telling us how to run our business and where to allocate future expenditure, for their good looks, not for good business.

People need to know and understand that Roberts is a true and trusted buddy buddy with Richard Haass who is high up in the Council of Foreign Relations. This guy has been all over the news nets selling the ‘new world order’. Now you can see the meshing of the Bush intentions by men and goal.

It started in 1934 when we let them get away with imposing a $200 tax on a $5 shotgun, I think.

If Roberts changed his vote and not strike down ObamaCare she [Ginsberg] agreed not to retire until the next Presidential term.

Do you have a source or ref. for that?

It’s not actually a tax, but it may reasonably be characterized as a tax. Sort of like a straight line. It’s not a curved line, but it may reasonably be bent into a curved line.

Good example of legal Humpty-Dumptyism.(from "Through the Looking Glass"):

'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

It's a bit of expansion of Federal power but not nearly as dramatic as many here are making out. It is Disappointing if we expect Roberts to reverse those type of precedents as Scalia would do.

The expectation that the personal mandate would bring the whole bill down is probably why the big disappointment.

It's an reverse tax credit with no penalty for avoiding it. For example, if you owe no taxable income and are not required to file a tax return then the IRS is not allowed to come after you for it.

In the opinion Roberts wrote something that may not go over well here but it rings true with me as I commented late last night. It said :” It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices”.

Like it or not voters put Dems in power in 2009. To be honest by the time Obama-care got passed with the Reconcilation bait and switch trick I was having my doubts that Obama would get a single bill to his desk to sign. Everyone hated that Obama-care bill, especially the (socialist) progressives and many of them swore on TV that they would not vote for it without a public plan, then they did. It really showed Pelosi's effectiveness as a leader of the house that she pulled that off. Boehner is half the man she is.

I guess it could be rephrased :” First you put Obama and Pelosi in power after Obama ran on ‘health care reform, now you pick Republican leaders Boenher and Romney who are so lame and cowardly that they probably wont repeal it if they ever get the chance to, so why the hell should I bail you out?

Obama got it into law the old way, passing it through two houses of congress and signing it, not getting a judge to create it. If it's really as unpopular as polls show then wimpy Republicans need to step up to the plate and do their jobs.

Amendment to the Constitution:

Each Supreme Court Justice shall serve a two year term and each Justice shall be limited to one term as a Justice or Chief Justice.

John, you opened this can of worms, we can close it. You decided to legislate, you must be elected by the people, not appointed.
