So far, you are the only one on this thread who got that fundamental correct. SCOTUS does not cite state law to uphold the constitutionality of federal law.

Ginsberg just as easily could have cited UK or Canadian law for the same effect.

But such facts are inconvenient to the "We're screwed so let's start a civil war now" crowd.

And I think she and O’Connor have stated they have the authority to do just that, which should be impeachment talk.
