Philippine police investigation under way.
A 65-year-old Danish pensioner has been found dead in the Philippines in what appears to have been a murder.
According to Svend-Erik Hansens daughter, who has sent an e-mail to bt.dk, her father was killed in his holiday house which had been cleared of valuables.
He was killed in his own holiday house after which anything of value in the house was taken, she writes.
The Philippines police have confirmed the man was found dead, but have not been willing to say what the cause of death was.
It does not look like an accident, but we are unable to say any more now as investigations are ongoing, a Pampanga police spokesman tells bt.dk.
Former boilersmith Sven-Erik Hansen has owned a holiday house in the Philippines for several years and visited the country several times each year.
Where should I go? Chicago? 38 murders over a weekend?
The Phils have 15,000+ islands; what goes on there is massively less vicious and predatory than what goes on here; that you be sure of. One or more of us may or may not like it or prefer it; but the Phils are a very genteel, if poverty-laden place.
if SHTF in the US, the whole world will have SHTF...and I'd rather be among my people if that happens...
