No one who has read the Federalist Papers can remotely claim that the government created by the constituion allows such. And yet, I doubt anyone reading the anti-federalist papers would be much surprised... they correctly identified many of the problems, not of the Constitution per se but of the [corrupt] people using such a Constitution.

I used to wonder why the Letters From A Federal Farmer never got the distribution and discussion that the Federalist Papers do. It's been a long time since I wondered about that.
