GRAZ, Austria – A devastating fire which gutted a crematorium in southern Austria was caused by an obese woman's excessive body fat blocking an air filter, Austrian public broadcaster ORF reported.

The fire occurred at the facility in the city of Graz in mid-April. Firefighters had trouble extinguishing the blaze due to a thick layer of insulation lining the crematorium's walls.

my dad always said.....I eat to live, I don't live to eat...I am sorry for all the obese that end up in the hospital...when I was a nurse, they are hard patients to care for. If you turn them on their side to avoid bed sores, the weight stops there breathing....I had one quad, paralyzed from neck down that ended up dying of a bedsore so deep I could put my whole fist in it.....2 surgeries to try to close up the sore had to be cut short because of anesthesia interfering with breathing...when gangrene set in, the smell waffled all the way down the hall...
