As for the article you cite, it's from the Detroit News and WSU Press, two reknown sources dripping with liberal bias. I had not read this article before and surprisingly find it to contain some elements of balance, especially the first few paragraphs and the last several. Yes, I do consider Orvie Hubbard to be a hero of Conservative politics, managing to maintain an island of progress and civility in the midst of a sea of corruption and decline while winning one reelection after another as Mayor of Dearborn. Did you live in the Dearborn area in the 1940s thru the 60s as I did?

I broke down today and posted this on my Facebook today. I usually force myself to hold back from posting anything political .....but this time I could not stay silent.
And, honestly, this time, I don’t care if I lose any friends. I don’t care if someone “important” finds out my opinion. I dont’ care if I suffer for it.
