Former Secretary of State and national security adviser Condoleeza Rice, who dismisses any talk about political plans or ambitions, has taken a first step anyway: She's hosted her first Washington fundraiser.
Last night Rice headlined a fundraiser at the Capitol Hill Club for ShePAC, the five-month-old super PAC designed to attract and grow the number of "principled conservative women" in elected federal office.
The event, including a briefing, reception and photo opportunities, attracted many of the 29 elected Republican women in Congress, as well as a list of female GOP Senate and House candidates, such as Deb Fischer of Nebraska, Missouri's Sarah Steelman and New Mexico's Heather Wilson.
Calling herself a "great optimist," Rice told the fundraiser, "America has a way of making the impossible seem inevitable in retrospect and we are going to do it again. We are going to strengthen ourselves, our democracy at home, strengthen our economy.
Over the weekend Rice, who will turn 58 a week after the November election, spoke in a closed briefing for several hundred participants in Mitt Romney's leadership retreat in Utah.

So what, who cares? She is not running for Office. As a matter of fact, she is not interested in politics, otherwise she would have run for office long time ago.
Got over your BDS

She headlines this fundraiser because she's not interested in politics?
She was just hanging out with George Bush, right?
Nothing political there either.
You're either lying to me, or yourself, or both.
Get over your own BDS.

Just because she was in a fund raiser for ShePac doesn't mean she is personally interested in political office. As a matter of fact she said she is not.
You obviously don't know what the meaning of BDS is and if you think I suffer from Bush Derangement Symptoms then take a look at my home page

If Condi Rice nevers seeks an elected office, my vote will not matter. My statement is a shot across the bow to Mitt Romney's campaign. There are alot of people (not just me) who won't vote for her.
That's why it makes a difference.
Now unless you meant BDS to mean something else...
BDS = Bush Derangement Symptons right?
Maybe you just don't realize that you're suffering from it.
Quit flinging that BDS label at people like me, just because I don't see eye to eye with you.

some will turn up their noses at her ideological impurity, in fact it would be a damn good fit for her skills.Good fit for her "skills"?
She endorsed the LOST (Law of the Sea Treaty) and Obama's decrepit and treasonous New START treaty.
She is worse than incompetent in the true issues of national security.
