I think Romney would (hopefully will!) be a much more conservative president than some some fear and no comparison to Obama. Obama is on path to destroy the US, while Romney will bring us back from the brink.

Romney would never bring it up, but there is a constitutional fallback for invaded states to wage war to stop the invasion. A huge trebuchet facing south at the border might be a start... to launch interlopers back to Mexico. With a parachute of course, so as to be humane.

At least Romney seems to understand there is deep opposition to his GOP predecessors’ weak kneed mealy mouthed attitude on the issue.

I would've probably gone straight over the edge if he'd mentioned the phrase 'mean spirited'.

Clinton would be to the right of Obama..

Your not saying much.

I see nothing in Romney’s past that suggests he can bring us back from the brink. He might stop pushing us to the cliff (and even that is a big IF) but it will be US that brings US back from the brink.

Dunno if he has since "made a stand" but from June 18:

Romney won't say he'll overturn Obama immigration order

Romney called for a national immigration strategy and insisted he would tackle immigration during his first year in office.

100% boilerplate, finger-in-the-wind spin from Mittens.

"I wish...I'll tackle..."

What a hopeless bunch of candidates America has to choose from! Who picked these incompetents???

U.S. Constitution, Article 4, Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion;

The Constitution is a contract between the fedgov and the states and the people. Seems to me like the contract has been broken, and so the contract is no longer in effect.

I suppose 200+ years was a pretty good run....

Romney told donors at a fundraiser in Scottsdale, a wealthy enclave outside Phoenix. Romney instead used Monday's ruling as an opportunity to criticize President Barack Obama for what he termed inaction on immigration reform until recently.

Inaction????

This is all this clown said???

Good grief!

Romney called for a national immigration strategy

We do not need any stinking "Strategy"...This is code for bull sh*t.

How about simple enforcing the GD laws?

Him using the word "Strategy" ought to make every American recoil.

I don't trust a single word coming from that man, "R" next to his name or not.
