Barone is no better here than your average condescending liberal who makes excuses for blacks voting for blacks. At some point we have to all be treated equally or the left’s plantation mentality will never be put out to pasture. Treating a man like a boy is not a compassionate thing to do Mike. Barone is saying, in a delicate way that won't get him excommunicated like John Derbyshire, that blacks aren't voting for Obama because he's black - they're voting for him because he's a Democrat, the party of racial preferences and freebies. If Obama had gotten the GOP nomination and run as a RINO, he would have gotten the same % of the black vote as other black GOP candidates - 10%. Blacks stepped all over Clarence Thomas during the judicial confirmation process despite the fact that he was black - they understood all too clearly that his nomination would not advance the cause of more freebies and more racial preferences for blacks.
