The author warns that the present time “has the look and feel of the 1930s and ‘40s”.
To me, this is a good thing, and a sign that positive change is in the offing (as per Howe and Strauss, “The Fourth Turning” c. 1997).
The problem is that the USA has the “feel” of the 1930’s Weimar Republic or the collapsing Roman Republic. We are just one “Man on Horseback” away from a authoritarian government - and I’d probably vote for him if he was an American Nationalist (instead being a multi-culti pansy fascist like most Democrats).
That worries me a bit.
