ping... ping...I change my own oil and always check for leaks afterwards.
That’s one recall I’m not in a rush to get done.
The oil filter hsg has an o-ring that seals it to the block.
Per the Cruze forum, it’s happened that oil change techs install the new o-ring that comes in the box with the filter cartridge but forget to remove the old one, resulting in a leak that apparently accumulates in a place that gets hot.
