The court has upheld the most important parts of the Arizona law, so there's no reason for secession.
However, Arizona may follow you up on this and back out at the last minute, in order to "fake out" some of those other states.

All AZ has to do is continue to make arrests as usual and use the detainees as slaves building State projects like roads in the desert. It won’t take Obama long to back the Hell down when his voters are being held as slaves because the federal government refuses to deport them as required by law. So, AZ should just keep them until the feds pick them up for deportation.
Take over congress and all this becomes moot.

I think the States that the XL Pipeline will run through makes excellent sense for one Region, called The Texas Region. The Mississippi Region would be those States that the Mississippi River runs through. Pacific and Atlantic Regions are obvious, as are the Rocky Mountain States.
In this way people could vote with their feet and move to a greater or lesser degree of personal Liberty.

My prediction is that in the very near future, AZ cops will undergo instruction on how to find an illegal in violation of an AZ state law — any AZ state law — that lets the state hold them. I would expect the state legislature to come up with some imaginative solutions to asssist in this regard.
As a show of solidarity, I’d like to call on every GOP legislature in the country to pass similar statutes.

I think the authors premise is largely correct. While I’m not a seccessionist as I don’t favor that course of action for Virginia at this time, the case can be made that certain states would be better off going it alone. TX and LA immediately come to mind, but perhaps AZ as well. That’s for the citizens of those states to decide.
