With all due respect to Justice Rehnquist, federal law trumps state law. No state is sovereign..as they belong to the “united” states...to be sovereign would deem them autonomous. No state is such. Again, it is the “united” states that bears this to be true. Thanks for the discussion though. Was thought provoking and I did research it to make sure I was correct. I was so much more sure of myself in my 20’s and 30’s than I am in my 60’s. Should someone question me, I hit the research on most things. Just to make sure. Thanks again, Katie. Have a great day.
