I wish people would stop talking about the Obamacare decision like it is in the bag. I have a very nervous feeling in my gut and I trust my instincts. It’s not going to be all good news, and we may even lose on the mandate.

If it isn’t, it will be the worst decision since Dred Scott.

I agree — Intrade rates the chances of overturn at 74% this AM — down from 78%. My own estimate of the chance of overturn is 51%. I’m slightly biased towards overturn but just slightly. Overturn is definitely not in the bag IMO, and if just the mandate is overturned, Obamacare morphs into a monster of a completely different nature.

My thoughts exactly. I’m very uneasy about these decisions. I think they would’ve come down Friday if they were easy or lopsided. They are going to affect us for decades to come.

It’s kind of like the old wives tale about a drowning person coming up for air three times before he goes down for good. For me, these decisions feel like America coming up for air the third time.

Agreed. The two things most people are forgetting are: 1) that the Supreme Court is currently a Statist organization, they will not reduce the power of the government unless [one of] the other two branches is stomping on their own power (or something that could easily hurt them) {i.e. when was the last time they ruled for judicial restraint; for SC judicial restraint?}; 2) that they can be, and likely have been, threatened.

These two considerations that few seem to be making. Given their cowardice on the eligibility issue, I do not have high hopes despite the clearness of the case.
