Back when I rode a bus to school anyone doing something like that would have been grabbed by the bus driver (a man) and physically THROWN off the bus ( and I mean THROWN), and forbidden to ride it for a long time.
I saw several bullies thrown off several miles from their home to the relief of all the children.

same here (depending on age :) only a few times..in a rural district; b/c @ home
the parents took actions..seldom did the bully repeat their uncivil actions....
