A few years ago, I had two very scary encounters with rabid packs of teenagers in Florida. The first happened while I was walking alone on the beach and the other when I made the mistake of trying to sit in “their” personal sitting area in the mall. In both cases, I was very scared, didn’t say anything to further inflame the situation and got the hell outta there as soon as possible! That poor “old” lady (only 2 years older than I) did the only thing she could: sit there and endure it until either she or they left. If she had verbally reprimanded them, things would have quickly gotten worse. If she had fought back physically, they would have attacked her like a pack of wolves...and she would have been arrested like George Zimmerman! I can only imagine her terror.
Most likely it would have, and if the kid who video taped the whole thing on his cell phone and posted the video no one would have known about it and they would continue to torment her
