Funny how criminals using F&F guns had this weird penchant for leaving their guns at the scene.. As they were told to, no doubt. Helps make that “90% of guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States” (Obama quote) thing come true eventually, I suppose.

Something tells me that we're really talking about something bigger than just handing off firearms to the cartels. Like perhaps covert agents operating within those organizations, ensuring that the right firearms were used and then left behind. I doubt if Holder would go it alone on *that*.

That may be part of it but the primary reason is that guns are so cheap for them they’re considered disposable. It eliminates the risk of being caught with a murder weapon that can be identified through forensics.
