As an employee of a Portland area Nordstroms I have to wonder why you think that we care? said Jason Handleman. Things like this make work interesting and I hold no ill-will toward anyone in this group. Our security personnel spend more time concerned with employees than clientele, and honestly most employees, at my store, would not help them if they were in an altercation. And this guy still has a job? Why?

“And this guy still has a job? Why?”
Because he’s a member of a “protected minority”???/s;)

Stupid on more than one level. This wasn’t an “altercation.”
Nordstroms IS big on trying extremely hard to please the customer. OK, fine for them. But I’d draw the line at shoplifting.

And this guy still has a job? Why? What makes you think it's a guy?
Flash mobs can be insiders, too, I suspect.
But I do agree, they shouldn't have a job.

He may still have a job, but he lost his brain quite some time ago, obviously.

Probably more of their inventory loss comes from employees than from ‘shoppers’.
