The case of Florida neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman and the unarmed teen he claims he shot in self-defense has dominated 24-hour cable news shows, drawn a public statement from President Barack Obama, and sparked protests around the country. Given this (now somewhat cooling) media frenzy, will it be possible for Zimmerman's legal team to seat 12 Sanford-area jurors who have not already formed their opinion about the case?
Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara seems to think not. After his client was charged in April, O'Mara said in a press conference that he doesn't think Zimmerman can get a fair trial, but hoped that the judge might throw out the case before that point. "The emotions are just running high in all of central Florida," he said. "But we'll see as we get closer to the point that we're resolving it, we don't even know if we're going to have a trial."

It was front page news from day one. No way this is anything but a racist prosecution.
Zimmerman should never have been arrested.
If this lynching moves to trial, it will not be fair...... regardless of where it’s held.
Can anyone tell me why the recent video of him going over what happened was made public? PR stunt? Purposeful attempt to poison the jury pool?
Zimmerman will not receive a fair trial in any jurisdiction were a welfare queen might be on the jury and that is most everywhere. Holders people will unite and crucify this guy.
Actually it didn’t start getting traction until around March 15th. Then Al and Jesse came to town.
It was part of the discovery. As I understand it, since it is discovery it is public information. Prosecution was trying to get it sealed. Orlando Sentinel wanted it released. You know~ everyone has a right to know.
Go figure. TrayMom, TrayDad and Team Skittles are saying that the prosecution released it because it proves Zimmerman is guilty and he stalked an innocent chil’.
The jury pool was poisoned in March with all of the disinformation.
From what the judge wrote in his decision on revolking the bond, I think he’s already decided that Zimmerman is guilty or needs to be put in prison for defending himself no matter the law. He sounds like a sicko.
It seems to me that Yahoo was in on the “lynching” of George from the get go. Now they are asking if he can get a fair trial after they helped fuel the fires of the lynch mob? Just amazing what these liberals will say and do.
The defense wanted it released. Just as distorted leaks by the prosecution were tainting the jury pool against Zimmerman, making Zimmerman's injuries and first testimony to the cops public is one of the many factors neutralizing the damage done before, and is slowly destroying the prosecution's case. This information can't hurt if the case goes to trial, and may get it thrown out before then.
If you drag things out long enough, stupid people do get bored and go do something else.
Unfortunately, the threat of nationwide riots will determine the verdict.
I fear that Zimmerman will be found guilty, no matter what the evidence shows.
Zim will get the most favorable jury in Seminole County. Although Sanford is the county seat...the rest of the county is conservative and GOP...which will help GZ. Its hard to get blacks to serve on Seminole County juries
Unfortunately, I do not trust Nazi Thug Angela Corey and Judge Lester. Now, Lester can be neutralized because Seminole County can vote him out....Corey is not our State Atty
Of course, Gov Rick Scott and AG Pam Bondi can end this now by pulling the plug. They refuse to do so. I cannot wait to primary out both of these RINO Al Sharpton supporters...this nonsense needs to end NOW

Someone may be shopping for a new judge because Lester’s son went to junior high at the same place and time as Shellie Dean Zimmerman. They knew some of the same people in the 1999-2000 school year.
