Several years ago, there was a professor at Duke University who was pimping out his adopted son.

The media treats such news items as isolated cases. Not evidence of a culture of corruption in academia. Certainly NOT like the Catholic Church. < /sarc >

The RCC needed priests real bad as the profession has certain anachronistic liabilities not conducive to recruitment so like the US Army during WWII when they needed soldiers fast and lots of them they only “counted” eyes instead of “checking” them during induction physicals.

The RCC needed even pederast priests to keep the corporation profitable and it was only when their “wack a mole” shuffling of the bad ones to avoid scandals fell apart like a Ponzi scheme that they finally cleaned up their act—I guess.
