Im reliably informed that Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Budget Committee chairman, has submitted paperwork to the Romney campaign. Sources confirm that he is being vetted for the vice-presidential nomination.
Ryan, one of the GOPs brightest young stars, is clearly a favorite of Romney allies. But some top Republican officials are wary of plucking him from the House, where he is the partys most influential voice on fiscal issues.
Earlier this week, Romney campaigned with Ryan in Janesville, Wis., Ryans hometown. Ryan previously stumped for Romney in late March and early April, ahead of Wisconsins Republican presidential primary.
A lot better than Rubio.
Oooops. Article by Robert Costa.
Paul Ryan is a very bold choice. If any criticism can be make, it’s that choosing him is too bold, too risky. Ryan has shown amazing political courage and is one of the political heroes of this decade. Choosing him would excite the base big time, but carry great risk, as well.
IMHO, the running mate will be either Rob Portman or Tim Pawlenty.
I would support this wholeheartedly.
And yes, he would be much better than Senor Rubio.
Best of the choices being discussed.
How do you reckon, exactly?
(I'm not disagreeing with your assessment, I just wonder what precisely you are thinking. Thanks.)
The genius of picking Ryan would be his ability to present his plan without the media shorthand that has, up until now, labeled it “mean”. Not to mention he would make biden explode in debate!
He has nice hair though which could lure some 20-something bimbo females who focus heavily on style away from Obama. Whatever it takes! LOL!
Secret Service code name: “Acolyte”
Loose lips.
We don’t need anymore “compassionate conservatives” Just saw Lou Dobbs smack down a well- known illegal immigrant. It was greatness. Too bad Romney and more Republicans don’t have the guts to say to the illegals what Dobbs does.
He gets my vote. I’d personally prefer Allen West but I’d definitely be on board with Ryan.
If not Scott Walker then Paul Ryan.
Paul Ryan made serious and substantive proposals to save Medicare from bankruptsy and the Democrats, aided & abetted by the MSM, demagogued it and scared seniors. It’ll happen again if Ryan is chosen.
Choosing him would excite the base big time, but carry great risk, as well.
Why would he be risky?
I say yeah.
CheeseHeads are poised to save America. That’s what I’m sayin....
“Why would he be risky?”
Check posting #15.
Starting to believe that Pelosi is in the Soros Group who plans to crash the United States.
