That was not directed at you but a comment on the people who let things slide cause they don’t know where to start.
I started prepping like you before it became prepping. I got my wife to start buying an extra $10 a week about 6 years ago. If there was a sale of some canned food we ate, get more of it. We slowly started building up some extra food. Started adding to it right before the crash after I paid off the house.
I live in the hood of a city and bugging out is not really an option as I have no where to go. I am 50 and being a refugee with my 55 year old wife and her sister is NOT my idea of living.
Will have to make my stand here. If I had 2 more years (which I doubt), I might be able to get a hideaway close enough to get to. So right now I stock up and ammo up and bid my time.
You never know what the future brings. You just might cross paths with someone who has a refuge away from the city but doesn’t have the skills that you have. It could happen.
