I was just on the genealogy subject in another thread. I've got more than 10 years experience with the website ancestor.com and out of curiosity I had thought about doing Obama's genealogy to see what I could find out.

What stops me is the thought that surely many many other people must have already tried it and if so they must not have found anything. If they did, we'd have heard something by now.

Perhaps I will do it on whoever had his ssn before him and maybe I can learn a bit about who that person was, when they died and the circumstances.

Truth is, I don't want to become a target by anyone (if you know what I mean). How nice to be living in today's America when you have to fear finding out something you should not know.
