Looks like it is in the parents and school district hands to determine their punishment.
As it should be, imho. The kids were nasty brats and should be punished like bullies are. She was not physically harmed, thank God...and in her life, like most everyone, she's probably taken some verbal abuse or bullying somewhere down the line and dealt with it. The good people who've made the donations online should make up for any amount she would/could get from a lawsuit and none of it's going into some lawyers' pockets.
We're too sue-happy in this country, anyway. I'm one who believes we need to get away from all that.
