I have to say — it is totally true. It is sometimes the most priviledged, spoiled “white kids” who can do the most insidious bullying. It was that way for me, too. I was called a “c*nt” in 5th grade. I had no idea what it meant at the time, but it was such an ugly sounding word to me, even at that age.
Boys at this age CAN be HORRIbLE.
I am reconsidering at this point whether or not we actually want to go go ahead and put our autistic son back in school. I need to do it this year, but I’m very, very afraid. Why put him into the possibility of this happening?
110,000th reason to homeschool ...
Sadly, though, it took someone from Toronto to get her fundraising started.
I hear it’s up to $600K. No one ever deserved it more.
My own dear grandma would have behaved exactly the same. She would have just sat there and taken it.
I was paddled in school in first grade, back in ‘68 or so, when corporal punishment was still allowed. Biggest mistake EVER in this country to stop the practice. From that day on, I FEARED and respected my teachers — and it translated to how I relate to my bosses, professors, etc. It happened when I was at a VERY young age — and that’s when it needs to start happening — when kids are the most impressionable.
I have a good friend who teaches in a Christian school and even those kids are BEYOND being disciplined, from what she says. Parents are just a MESS these days.
This happened on the net like three weeks ago. The woman has over a 900,000 dollars.
