I’m just curious. What ethnicity is the name “Der-Yeghiayan”? I’ve never seen anything similar to it before.

( "it's" is the contraction of either "it is" or "it has"; "its" is the possessive pronoun)

What ethnicity is the name Der-Yeghiayan? Ive never seen anything similar to it before. It's been my experience that a 'ian' or 'yan' "suffix" on a surname denotes Armenian ancestry. I'm nosy. I live in NYC, and I ask!
