I read last week that what got Boehner to go along with the push for contempt was a whistle-blower who’s evidence convinced Boehner there was meat behind the probe. I think they have sufficient evidence to go with it in the House. It remains to be seen whether Grassley can hold the GOP together in the Senate...even though the Senate DNC has control and will never vote for contempt.

My understanding is that the Senate plays no role in this. It goes from the committee, to full house vote, to DC Federal Grand Jury for indictment and then jury trial.

The Senate is not involved in this! The House is the body for whom the AG has shown “contempt.” They will find him in contempt and that will be that! The Senate has no role in this process.
