Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank has declared the month of February “Palin Free,” pledging not to mention Sarah Palin in any way. Milbank is urging his fellow members of the mainstream media to follow suit.
“But today is the first day of the rest of my life. And so, I hereby pledge that, beginning on Feb 1, 2011, I will not mention Sarah Palin - in print, online or on television - for one month. Furthermore, I call on others in the news media to join me in this pledge of a Palin-free February. With enough support, I believe we may even be able to extend the moratorium beyond one month, but we are up against a powerful compulsion, and we must take this struggle day by day.”
Mind, considering the vile things that have been said and written about Sarah Palin ever since she was vaulted to national prominence in 2008, one would forgive Palin for breathing a sigh of relief. A promise not to accuse her of being a party to a mass murder or being an anti-Semite would be welcome.

Let’s get back to the Big Lie. The one who originally reported on this was, you guessed it, Dana Milbank. But there is a twist. Allegedly someone shouted “kill him” at Sarah’s mention of murdering terrorist Bill Ayers, not Obama. It was Frank Rich of the New York Times who actually transferred this alleged threat from terrorist Ayers, over to Barack Obama.
The Milbank-Rich tag team has run with the Big Lie ever since.
The Secret Service investigated the incident at the time and found there was no “there” there.
The Big Lie was repeated in the failed HBO movie Game Change. Writing for Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood under the heading: “Whom Do You Believe: HBO or Secret Service?” Larry O’Conner, describing a scene in the movie, points out: [emphasis mine]
I think putting a sign “Obama Presidential Library” on an outhouse is a slur against outhouses everywhere.
It’s hillBilly Clinton that really would deserve one of these. What is used in Kenya? Does it even rise to the dignity of the typical US outhouse?
So Obama gets a little of what he and MSM dish out against Conservative on a regular basis and now it just not a nice thing to do?

A ditch by the side of the road, I suppose. But there’s not much symbolism there. An outhouse is a great symbol... I just hate to see it being debased with the word “Obama” plastered on it.

I loved it when Donaldson pulled his shtick on Gorbachev. The steely-eye tyrant regarded the toupéed buffoon with the look of amazement and contempt that the Czar of All Russias would assumed if confronted by rag picker who volunteered to perform an important diplomatic errand.
I mean millennia, not centuries.
The Obama administration has fired about 25% of us at some point in the past 3.5 years. They're good at that, but it's their only trick.
