Settle down, Fauxcahontas.
(Boston Herald) On their first day in the Hub, a group of Cherokees hoping to confront Elizabeth Warren over her Native American heritage claims blasted the Democrat for trying to dismiss the ancestry controversy as a non-issue in the Bay State U.S. Senate race.
Poverty, teen suicide, our health care system, said Cherokee genealogist Twila Barnes in an interview today with the Herald. Those are issues and those are the people she stepped on and used to benefit and now she says its not an issue. Well, of course, to her its not an issue because she doesnt want to address that she did this.
Ali Sacks, a Cherokee from Warrens home state of Oklahoma, had harsher words: Its cowardly to ride the coattails of people who have lost so much for your own benefit and not accomplish what you can accomplish on your own benefits. I think its shameful and extremely disrespectful not just to Cherokees but to all tribes who have given so much to this country historically and lost so much.
Four Cherokee women are in Boston for four days hoping to arrange a meeting with Warren. A spokeswoman for the Warren campaign told the Herald Sunday a staff member would greet the group, but the women told the Herald this morning theyve still heard nothing from the campaign. [...]

I prefer Loudermilk's version of "Tobacco Road" over the Nashville Teens' version that scored four years later, in 1964. In the late 1960's and early 1970's, Loudermilk's The Language of Love (1961) was also on the playlist of KWIZ, an "oldies" station at 1480 kcs in Santa Ana, Calif.
Nice to know she believes the Cherokee Nation is Right Wing. If your going to call yourself one—maybe you better put on the feathers and buckskins. I am 32nd Arapaho but I would never dream of calling myself a member of that illustrious tribe. I am far more Irish and Scott (tribes of a different sort). My half son is 1/4 Seneca and has real links to that Tribe and their reservation. He looks Indian. Sad thing, many people see him and think he is a Latino and starts to speak Spanish to him (something he hates). As he says “My people were Americans before there was an America.” This Warren lady was using this Rumor of her birthright to advance herself both politically and academically, I for one am glad she was found out.
Squaw flip many tee-pees, make much wampum.
White man want to know if she used Native American designation for college, grad school, scholarships, and employment apps.
Hope you do keep Brown. We got rid of Lugar. Guess you gotta keep a RINO until a conservative arrives. But, that is like voting for Romney just because he is all we have to vote for. Anybody but Obama...that is what they have given us.
Hey, you folks kept voting Kennedy in until he died. We will see if you can keep a RINO until a conservative arrives. I will watch with bated breath.
The conservative you speak of is running against a kennedy runt for Bawney Fwank's redistricted seat here in MA4. Sean Bielat has a chance and is getting my support.
The Kennedy’s owned the “State” . Not just the Unions! Now it’s David Axeldork’s experiment...... DeValue Patrick ( D.IL D. MA) that is insisting that Unions work on State jobs... if you are not Union you can’t work nor bid on a “State Job”, period.
And those of “you Folks” from out of State had better realize that there will be no
“Conservatives” from MA evah.
Private enterprise cannot afford these parameters any longer, we are mostly moving away to income tax free States like FL and NH... now DO YOU GET why these States are “purple”? The Kennedy sycophants are dead or dying.
We are stuck with the ACADEME Lizzie Warren’s of our “Esteemed “ toilet rooms called Harvard, Welllesley, Smith, MIT!
We are doing the best that we can.
Take your “baited” breath elsewhere....
