I was under the impression that Congress already has the documents (emails) they’re requesting from Holder. They were provided by the whistleblower — but they can’t use them because of the way the whistleblower obtained them. Congress has to get stuff “by the book”. Not sure if this is true, or where/when I heard this — but FWIW...

Oh yeah, I'm a sure as I can be that the Democrats would hold off using whistleblower e-mails because they're not "by the book" if the shoe was on the other foot. Why, I can just imagine Nancy Pelosi admonishing Henry Waxman for even thinking about using leaked e-mails against a Republican President, especially if those e-mails were direct confirmation that the Attorney General had lied to congressional investigators.
