The name of that game seems to be get the gas pumpers into the store. A gas/convenience store near me offers an 8 cents/gallon discount IF you go into the store to pay.

It sound like a lot but in practice it’s less than a buck on a tank fill up. Pretty clever since most people are bound make some impulse buy 3 or 4 times that much.

The advantage would seem to be that you don’t have to wait behind someone who is trying to make up their mind what they want on their sandwich. There are several machines, as I understand it, and if you know what you want, you can place your order quickly. You still have to wait for the person behind the counter to build your sandwich.

Exactly right. The trick is to get folks inside. That said, the food is good, fast and priced right. And the ordering system works great.
