“Surely you see the difference between someone who left the county to settle permanently in Mexico to make a new life vs someone who knew it was only temporary and was in some type of service.”

You seem to have run out of cogent legal arguement.

The answer to your question is “no.” Under our laws children born overseas to US citizen parents are legally born US citizens.

Despite your desire to find some reason to knock out Romney from the Presidential nomination of the Republican Party, and build a consenus his disqualifacation at this late date, and for your personal political expediency, there is no reason for that law to be changed or ignored.

I don’t like the SOB either but he has prevailed through our primary process. In any case I will be voting against Obama, though my ballot might have a checkmark near the Republican nominee.

Sigh.

The Congressional races are looming as the more important races on the 2012 General election ballot.

Might I suggest you turn your efforts to the very real disqualifying issues surrounding Obama’s eligibilty to be POTUS?

I just made a comment speaking to the commons sense of when a person born outside the US to US parents still fit NBC.

McCain got his pass because his father was on military duty in Panama.

Romney’s grandfather was not in the military or in the sevice of an American entity.

I suggest you quite being so blind to common sense. BTW, why don’t you link where a court has officially defined what a NBC citizen is. Don’t spend too much time because you will not find it. Why don’t you try though since you like to argue about things you don’t understand.
