(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said on Friday he will seek a court order to stop the Obama administration from halting the deportation of illegal aliens who were brought to this country as children.
But King is one of the few Republicans talking about a lawsuit.
On Monday, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was asked what Congress will do about the Executive Branch setting mandatory immigration policy without congressional authority.
"Well, one thing -- we thing it ought to require legislative action," McConnell told Fox News anchor Martha McCallum. "The way you get these things done is to have a bipartisan discussion."
McCallum persisted: "But if the White House has gone around Congress in a way that is not above-board, is Congress going to hold the White House's feet to the fire on this and force them to go through Congress, is my question."
"Well, that would require court action, I assume," Sen. Mitch McConnell told Fox News on Monday. "But yeah, I think we're pretty unhappy with the fact that they have now decided to do something they claimed they couldn't legally do a year ago."
McConnell said Obama's decision "raises quite a suspicion that this is all just about trying to ingratiate himself with Hispanic voters."
On Friday, Rep. King told radio host Mike Huckabee, "Im prepared to bring a suit and seek a court order to stop implementation of this policy."
You plan to sue the administration? Huckabee asked. That is correct, King said.
He’s just unhappy that he couldn’t get the GOP to pass it themselves and that Obama stole their thunder.
Sure, he can gripe about an unconstitutional overreach of executive power, but challenge it? By golly, no, that might require going to court or something!
IMPEACHMENT is the proper course of action for Congress.
Make it an item of debate on the floor while continuing to cite the Constitution.
Never identify a victim. Always cite law.
Educate the public via debate on the floor.
And see Reid's Senate exonerate him in about one day? No thanks. Don't want to see Dumbo exonerated.

Given the Obama’s dimming prospects for reelection, Reid’s senate may appreciate an opportunity to fast-track him under the bus.
I believe you mean the late Rodney King who drowned in his swimming pool last weekend.
Not unhappy enough to do anything about it though, right Mitch you little faggity ass, dung beetle, spineless jelly fish of a worm maggot?!
Your are correct!
However, Mitch’s mouth says one thing but his previous actions on immigration suggest he is secretly very happy with the King’s decree.
I read some of the Rodney King threads on DU and somehow they imagined him into an icon of peaceful civil discourse...lamenting the lost potential of “Why can't we all just get along”. Dems and their “heroes”.
Reid would LOVE more talk of impeachment...only the naive think this would really help matters.
