Evidently Mooch has never experienced much of a burn.

A third degree burn is like crumbly black stuff where there was once skin and muscle.

Second degree is giant weeping blisters.

I do not think there is any pain that will approach that of a severe burn and mine was only about 18% second degree.

I doubt the student was laughing. I know I would not.

I had a radiator hose blow off and scald me. No 3rd, but
about half my upper body had severe 2nd or less. Still have
some bad scarring where my shirt held the liquid on my arm.
The first time I smelled antifreeze after the accident I
threw up. Yeah, burns are a real laugh riot.

Did 2nd degree to my whole back as a kid from sunburn.

No fun.
