Somethings up at J.C. Penney.
After the closing bell, the department-store operator announced President Michael Francis was leaving, effective today, after only eight months on the job.
Shares dropped 6.5% in after-hours trading to $22.75 in after-hours trading. The stock is down nearly 50% since early February.

Liberals NEVER learn.
That's precisely what I did.
To JC Penny: You can still all F... yourselves.

Where my dad used to work, there was a revolving door of CEOs and golden parachutes. The average tenure was about three years. The company never promoted from within. It used to piss him off royally.
I don’t see ads (no commercial tv, no newspaper) so I hadn’t given it much thought, but the last time I went to J.C. Penney, I couldn’t find a sensible pair of tan cotton slacks in size 8P. They had them at Belk, a few steps across the mall.
I’m not going to Penney’s if they don’t have what I want.
Re: “freedom of expression.”
I guess JCP forgot that conservatives are still free to express themselves by shopping elsewhere.
That's what I would have thought, from the picture. (Of course, I have white hair, and the little children are my kids, not my grandchildren.)
The clothes are ugly, anyway. They seem no longer to stock the short and t-shirts and slacks I used to buy there.
Why should those CEOs have any loyalty or desire to stay with the company? It’s not like they built it from the ground up with their own blood, sweat and tears!
But since your dad probably didn’t have an MBA from an Ivy League school the top guys within the company wouldn’t even consider the possibility of promoting from within.
Well, I don’t believe in pandering to the gay agenda either so perhaps people did stop shopping there because of the ads.
Probably some other factors involved though.
I totally agree. Especially during the height of the Jerry Sandusky homosexual rape of boys scandal.
Two homosexual “mothers” for their Mother’s Day ad and two homosexual “fathers” for their Father’s Day ad.
