First lady Michelle Obama took her inspirational family story on the road over the weekend, telling the graduating class of Oregon State University that having a corner corporate office and a big paycheck isn’t the prize it looks like when entering the job market.
“Success isn’t about how your life looks to others, it’s about how it feels to you,” Obama said Sunday, retelling how she and her brother, Oregon men’s basketball coach Craig Robinson, grew up in a small Chicago home pushed by parents who said “be true to ourselves.”
For both, she said, that meant throwing away their corporate suits and trying something different after realizing what they thought was the American dream.
“After graduating from college, we did everything we thought we should do to be successful -- Craig went to business school, I went to law school, we got prestigious jobs at an investment bank and me at a law firm. We soon had all the traditional markers of success: the fat paycheck, the fancy office, the impressive lines on our resumés. But the truth is, neither of us was all that fulfilled,” said Obama. “I was living the dream, but it wasn’t my dream. And Craig felt the same way, unbeknownst to me.”

That fat beast got $300,000 a year for nothing other than influence her feminine little Senator husband to route millions of tax payer money to a Chicago hospital in a Ponzi scheme.
She thinks we al;l forgot about her and her job of sending the poor and uninsured to another hospital.
I wonder how she salved her conscience about that.

I wonder if part of her "inspirational story" was the $380,000/year "directory of diversity." job created for her by the University of Chicago after her arrogant ignorant ass of a husband was elected to Kongress. BTW after she collected the salary for a while she quit the job and the University of Chicago got rid of the position thus making it even more obvious that it was a political payoff to the 0's. (like there was ever any doubt in anyone's mind)
Exactly correct. Every job has a value to a company, regardless of what an employee feels he/she is worth. It’s important to people to understand what that value is. If they don’t like what the company determines that value is, go some place else.

But some of us have to work, create and produce or there wouldn't be any hosts for parasites like them to bleed.
Unless I just totally missed it, I can't believe there hasn't been a "tell-all" article from some loose lips on the inside at that hospital. What I quoted above is also my sincere belief and understanding of her "job" but anybody who has worked around such "make-work" people knows the scam and can give examples piled on top of examples of non-meetings, non-memoranda, etc. that emanate from such people. Hospitals are notorious gossip factories so I can't believe the details have been so tightly held.
Yes and no. She made $380,000 a year in the position created solely for her at the University of Chicago hospital, "director of Diversity", but she didn't do any work for it. When it became obvious that she no longer could collect the plunder, the position was elminated.

Well said, but no she doesn't and neither does the arrogant ass currently befouling the white house. They're like envious stupid trailer trash who see someone with more money and better stuff than they have and think that they deserve the same. It doesn't register on these people that wealth is CREATED BY WORK. There are no "winners of life's lottery." Life isn't a lottery where some people get rich by chance (unless you're a member of the Saudi royal family) You get rich or not by working had and long (or not and then you don't get rich)

I think they know that tooling down the Dan Ryan Expressway and suddenly realizing that, say, the steering wheel has just snapped off the steering column, would REALLY ruin their day;)
