Kenny Irby, a faculty member at The Poynter Institute, a journalism think tank in St. Petersburg, Fla., because “people are modulating their opinions based on the staccato-like information that comes out.”

The Poynter Institute owns the St.Petersburg Times - now called Tampa Bay Times. The staccato-like release of information was intentional. Most of the correct information was filtered through the internet - not newspapers. Drudge was a factor - who happens to be white. As Kenny Irby is a factor - who happens to be black. Not that either man's race has affected their coverage of the story....

“The staccato-like release of information was intentional”

Exactly, and the people may be gullible but they’re savvier than they used to be concerning these things. All many people will remember is the original story. That is, that an “unarmed black youth” was shot by a kinda-sorta white guy and he should have been arrested but for something wrong with the law and the police. But some, at least, are still paying attention, and the more they do the sillier appears the MSM.

By the way, when the case is eventually dropped or Zimmerman released, as I think will happen, the MSM’s endgame will be not to report it. If he is convicted of something or other, if not murder then perhaps unpaid parking tickets, it will be shouted from a mountaintop. That is the playbook.
