You're dreaming. Wake up! Time to face reality.
A few months ago, I might have entertained this fantasy but Mitt Romney now has this nomination nailed shut. Virtually everybody in the GOP establishment has lined up behind Romney and the big money is flowing into the coffers.
Too late to turn back now. We had our chance to nominate somebody better and we (collectively) blew it. But in fairness, most of the air went out of our balloon last October when Palin announced she would not be a candidate this year.
It's nice to dream about Sarah Palin bursting out of a giant cake at the convention this summer but it's just not going to happen. In fact, don't be surprised if it is Palin giving the keynote or nominating speech on Romney's behalf.
