Meanwhile, has anyone noticed the nice picture in the Telegraph article is actually a POLISH helicopter?

Since you know helicopters...

I thought the concept of attack helicopters came to a brutal end in the last Iraqi War?

I recall an air battle where like 20 USA choppers massed for an attack and almost every one of them sustained serious damage or was shot down.

Obviously, attack choppers against untrained rebels would be successful.

But are sovereign armies still betting on this idea?

Well, it’s an Mi-25 with Polish national markings. I doubt the Poles build their own Mi-25s.
