Tom Cruise as iconic rocker proved just too incredulous for audiences. >p>And yet we're not supposed to find this short and softly pretty man "too incredulous" to play Lee Child's 6'5" tall and imposing Marine combat trained Jack Reacher? Looks as if actual casting has given way to the purported "box office name."

I liked Cruise in “Minority Report.”
It was one damned scary movie.

Cruise is tall enough to play an ompa lompa in WIlly wonka.

He is to short to be an action star and to much of a pretty boy to be a tough guy.

I've found that incredulous since the casting.

A character known for his height and size and face that shows the scars of fights . . . which comes into play frequently in every plot . . . and Cruise gets the role.

By the way, the character Reacher grew up the son of a Marine, but he was a U.S. Army Military Policeman (reaching the rank of Major) through and through.
