What I find odd is some posters who were all over Joe Paterno regarding this don’t seem much interested in these Sandusky threads.

Nothing odd about it. The second raters had a field day trashing a fallen hero. Then, having sated their sallow egos, moved on.

Sandusky is just small potatoes.

You know, I was thinking about this the other day, and I realized I can’t remember how it was that it all got revealed. I remember the day the story broke, because I remember hubby telling me in the car to find ESPN radio or something so we could hear about what was going on.

But what WAS going on? What brought on these revelations? For the life of me I can’t remember.

I don’t know if what you say about posters here is accurate, but it does seem that the major result of the “scadale” was to cause poor Joe Paterno to end his illustrious life in disgrace. It does almost seem like whatever happens to Sandusky is an afterthought.

That is so wrong and creepy. It just sums up this whole thing so well, so wrong and creepy.

What I find odd is some Penn State coaches & Penn State admin people who weren't all over Sandusky's trail of victims...
...and didn't seem much interested in keeping very many Sandusky conversations going on and near campus...
...took a sudden interest in the justice of the victims once the enormity of all this hit...

IN fact, it took a Nebraska assistant coach (not a Penn State rep) to include the line "May the truth be known, may justice be known. May you protect the victims…" in the showy pre-game prayer before the Nebraska-Penn State.

What I also found odd was that Penn State coaches and players weren't seemingly very interested in showy pre-game prayers -- until this all broke.

I think Joe Paterno a lowlife scumbag who turned a blind eye to Sandusky parading around young boys after multiple reports of something being VERY VERY wrong.

He gave a job to the guy who reported ‘wet skin slapping against wet skin’ as Sandusky abused a boy in the shower who looked to be 10 years old.

If Joe Paterno thought McQueery credible - then something should have been done.

If Joe Paterno thought McQueery a liar - he should have never given him a job.

It seems that Joe Paterno did what he did to try to protect the image of Pedo State Football - and the abused children be damned. Well - he made his bed - and now he (and his lowlife fans) have to lay in it.

Paterno's dead, so there's not much of a point in belaboring his guilt.

He had to choose between concern for his football program and concern for the boys he knew were getting anally raped by one of his proteges.

Joe took steps he thought necessary to protect his program and forgot about the boys.

JoePa is gone now. His statue will be following soon. Torn down like Stalin's or Hussein's.
