When one observes President Obamas unwillingness to accommodate Americas four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct. Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past four years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. But that, too, would be inaccurate. He has been equally disrespectful in his appalling treatment of religious Jews in general and Israel in particular. So perhaps the most accurate description of his antipathy toward Catholics, Protestants, religious Jews, and the Jewish nation would be to characterize him as anti-Biblical. And then when his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor. In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.

Now that sounds suspicious. Where in the United States would having a computer be unusual enough to warrant the request above?
So you're 11? Retread, I'll bet the mods are on to you in two weeks or less.
Melas, I too find this comment, not only on it's face, but also in context of all his other comments here (and I have gone through the conversations) to be suspicious.
onetrue, Your pastor asked you to join FR to 'speak the word'? Then you say you thought this a friendly place for Christians? That either does not compute, or you are a real babe in the woods (and could stand a bit of assistance) OR you are manipulator of some sort, trying to infiltrate.
So tell us more...
How about FReepmailing the name of your Church, the City and State, and your pastor's name. I can look the phone number up myself.
Your pastor will then have MY phone number when I call, so you see, I'll be the one running the real risk here.
Otherwise, many of us here will simply look upon you as a possible agent provocateur (as if we didn't have enough accidental, organic ones amongst us already, along with genuine undercover political operatives come to play us from different angles).
Your choice. Prove it, or perhaps lose it.
Send the info...you *might* gain some instant credibility. Then again, perhaps not, depending upon your reply.
Sorry to be so tough on you, but then again you seem to be expecting instant entry into the club. Not so fast...posting privileges are one thing, and you can be free to express opinion, but trust doesn't come easy nowadays, particularly when there is a possible whiff of caricature found in your expressed political/religious views.
- Some years a sidebar internal Free Republic poll gave several choices for who they would choose to be President....
Hillary Clinton got 15% of those who took that FR poll
Do not be deceived by those that chose an allegedly religious FR screen-name or include 'CONSERVATIVE' in their FR screen-name
Radical leftist 'Mobys' and others asked left-wingers to register on FR and disrupt and create dissension on Free Republic threads
They are on FR posting every day
Of course they are the crazies that always prefer insane Muzzies like Opansy Junior over any candidate running or chosen
But they are the only 'self-annointed perfect' and they are willing to further destroy America and your children for their own reasons
We all know that Free Republic is loaded with stealth radicals, trolls, and some warped dingbats

Do not believe false prophets or angry twisted jackasses.
Well said, TheOldLady.
[blush] Thank you. [smiles]
Just knowing the town you come from, well, that isn't exactly private info at all, in that what server you are accessing this site through can be seen by the moderators, and a few others, if they wish.
I doubt you have a "pastor". I've never met one whom would recommend that the way to bring others to Christ would include your own sort of "style". Besides, it's tough to imagine a pastor telling a congregant to go join FR and 'speak the word', being as this something of a "burnt over district" internet forum-wise.
What I'm telling you is that your own personal anecdotal comments, coupled with your own posturing, positively reek [of being lies].
Even with me, you immediately launch into discussing Romney, which in the context of our conversation here, is quite telling. What would that have to do with "speaking the word"? What 'word' is that? Mormonism is a cult? Ok-fine, but early Christianity was seen as, and could at that time been properly [and neutrally] identified as a cult, being as that word has not always borne the same freight of implication as it does in these post-Guyana kool-aide drinking times.
New sign up date. Goes straight into overdrive trashing Romney (who unhappily enough for the majority here appears to be the inevitable Republican nominee) using FR front page material as back-up when challenged, but claims otherwise his "pastor" sent him here to preach.
So tell me the truth. What are you? A Huff'n Puffer? A KosKiddie? An ambitious DU'er? An actual DNC/Obama droid? Or just a freelancer come here to take advantage of and further stir up division, acrimony, and strife, maybe trying to keep as many from even bothering to vote as possible?
Thought you could safely hide by playing up the anti-Mittens angle, did you? [among other angles you've played here, so far]. Do I have your number?
Or, you could prove me wrong, as I offered a fairly simple avenue for you to do so.
I wonder I wonder if a freeper went and visited Kos, or the DUmper, if he'd find FR contributor quotes from threads you've participated in yet. Or are they being saved up for later, after a few around here let fly with some really juicy ones?
So far, you've tried to play yourself off as being an unsophisticated, non-college educated youngster SENT HERE BY YOUR PASTOR??? Oh, puh-leeze.
The "dumb" act was just too much. But the real insult is you including other's strongly held views, trying to pass them off as your own, even as you make a mockery of the same.

If Mitt Romney started bully pulpiting for the LDS, the ACLU would be on his back in a New York millisecond. It is close enough to Christianity that, yes, the ACLU’s Christ-haters would still care.
Newbies always get grilled here.
consider yourself hazed
Like; why would your "pastor" send you here?
Care to try explaining that one, and why you start off with the Mormon bashing, aiming to tie it into tearing Romney down? Things just are not adding up for that equation.
Even this post which I'm responding to, see's you "staying on message" while ducking all else.
We could solve this real easy. I showed you a way to verify a personal claim, but you ran from it a few steps, but turned and continued your "attack", your "mission"(?), twice in a row.
What is the truth about you? This about you now, not Romney.
frankly, ‘lord, it sounds really weird that a pastor would tell you to go here, by name, RATHER THAN DOING IT HIMSELF. we have pastors on this board already — it’s not like it’s an impossibly time consuming task. some of them are pretty darn orthodox, would never agree with mitt’s religion in a googol years, and yet they don’t take themselves as seriously as a heart attack.
this could be a main reason for the flak. i can’t answer for the folks who want to vet you personally, but it does come across rather weird.
