RUSH: So Romney went out and made a speech right before Obama's. Obama's giving his reset, "I'm the guy that you want for the next four years" speech. Romney went out there literally minutes before Obama, and we got a couple sound bites. He was loaded for bear. He was energetic. He was enthusiastic. Our buddy Jim Pethokoukis tweeted: "I don't think this is the Romney they want to run against at Obama campaign headquarters." Meaning, this is not who they thought Romney was gonna be. I don't think McCain would've done this. (McCain impression) "That's right, that's right, Limbaugh, I would have shown proper respect. The President of the United States is making a speech and it's his speech and I would schedule my speech for much later, or much earlier." Exactly right. But Romney's taking it to 'em. So we're rolling on Obama. Whatever's noteworthy, we'll have it. But let's listen to a couple of Romneys. He's in Cincinnati while Obama is in Cleveland.
ROMNEY: He's been president for three-and-a-half years. And talk is cheap. Action speaks very loud. And if you want to see the results of his economic policies, look around Ohio, look around the country, and you'll see that a lot of people are hurting. A lot of people have had some real tough times. And the policies the president put in place did not make America create more jobs. As a matter of fact, he made it harder for America to create more jobs.
RUSH: And then he predicted that Obama's gonna offer a bunch of excuses, a la, Barack Kardashian Oblame-o.
ROMNEY: He will have all sorts of excuses, all sorts of ideas he'll describe about how he'll make things better, but what he says and what he does are not always the exact same thing. And so if people want to know how his economic policies have worked and how they performed, why, they can talk to their neighbor and ask whether things are better. They can talk to the 50% of college kids graduating from college this year that can't find a job. They could talk to the people who represent the unemployed. The president said that if we let him borrow $787 billion for a stimulus, he'd keep unemployment below 8% nationally. We've now gone 40 straight months with unemployment above 8%. But then he'll say, well, but the things he's been doing have been good and helped create growth and put people back to work. Oh, really? Go check on that.
RUSH: That's Mitt Romney just before Obama.

I am an American Soldier...defender of freedom against tyranny
and when I enter the valley of death
and the agent of Satan appears at my shoulder
I will be resolute and fear no evil
And my Lord in heaven will guide my sword.
By not voting for Romney you allow a vote for Obama to stand which otherwise would not. Therefore you are actually helping him to get re elected.
That is a very, very bad thing.
Really? What is your idea of "close"? Suppose it were 2% and the polls showed Romney trailing by 3%? Imagine if there were a whole lot of people in PA just like you and ALL of them stayed home because the polls showed Romney trailing by 3 points? Suppose also that the number of people staying home is actually enough to make Romney the winner but instead he loses because some push poll paints a false picture of the candidates position in the race? Just suppose.

In these times, sin isn’t sin anymore that includes the gravest sin, abortion. Not in God’s eyes.
Romney is a pro-abort, if you vote for him, you have cooperated with his evil, abortion in RomneyCare.
Your vote for Romney becomes a mortal sin on your soul.
That is a very, very, bad thing.
Don’t do it.
Your principals give us Obama again. I’m sure god will look fondly upon that.
Yours is an interesting argument to which I would reply in this way.
Romney is pro abortion, I concede. However Obama is also pro abortion and on top of that so much more that we all despise him for. The president, any president can really not do anything to change the Roe V Wade ruling. By refusing to vote for a candidate based on something he is powerless to change even were he so inclined, you will be in fact voting for the re election of a really bad dude.
Elected Rep need to be continually pushed, prodded and coerced if necessary to do what WE believe they should do just as was done when the changes were proposed in the immigration laws several years ago. You will recall at the time there were so many calls to Washington at the time the switchboards went down. The measure was defeated because of our action then and other changes can be made in the same way.
We have seen a decided swing in public sentiment AWAY from abortion in the past several months which shows we can accomplish our goals if we just keep on keepin’ on.
“Close” is whatever I think it is, and is subject to change when I want it to.
I'm not at all concerned with what you want to discuss or that you do not seem to know the the definition of "close" in the context of the discussion, whatever gave you the idea I was?
I was merely attempting to point out a scenario you obviously hadn't thought about. Is it that which has made you so angry? How unfortunate.
Obvious to you perhaps.
And you can rest assured, I wasn't angered by your post. Slightly amused, but just barely.
LOL, of course you weren't. I can't imagine where I ever got that idea. Silly me.
