you're correct, this is called a 'limited hang out'

If Issa were sincere he would not show weakness by agreeing to any meeting until he has receive ALL of the requested emails and documents - that's it

anything else just empowers Holder. Holder has been give ample opportunity

Agreed. It’s a variation of the same tactic deadbeat tenants use to avoid eviction. Refuse to pay rent until the owner starts eviction proceedings, then pay as little as you can to stop them, then repeat.

Depending on the city and the local rules, an unscrupulous tenant can get by without paying more than two months rent a year. I have a friend who bought into an apartment building in Northern California back in the 90s. Give him two drinks and ask him about that kind of crap and he’ll give you chapter and verse.

The thing that angered him the most was that the local “community organizers” would gladly explain to anyone who listened, exactly how the process worked, exactly what to say to the judges or other officials, and exactly how to conceals assets and income so liens or garnishing attempts would be futile.

Sticking it to “the man” was a mark of pride. It’s no surprise to me that Holder is using the same tactics.
